One of the first thoughts after getting engaged is , “Omg, What am I going to wear??!” Going on the hunt for The Gown, that will perfectly sum up all of the romance and attitude of the day, is one of the best parts about the wedding planning process. The bridal salon usually has racks of frothy, lacey, silky gowns in every style imaginable for you to peruse, but have you ever wondered where all of those dresses actually come from? I know I have! This magical place where the top bridal designers in the world, showcase their latest designs is called the Bridal Market.
The largest and longest running is the National Bridal Market Chicago and the newer NY Bridal Market is gaining popularity quickly. These events also include fashion shows, which is my favorite part. I love browsing all of the photos to see what the new design direction will be for the upcoming wedding season.
Here is a peek at Vera Wang Fall 2014 which was recently released. The collection showcases a range of pink gowns and I could just imagine a modern Marie Antoinette walking down the aisle in one of these designs.
